I have been doing art since the dawn of time, or as my mom would say “as soon as you could hold a pencil”. I grew up in an artistic family. My oldest sister perused art in school and continues to follow it professionally. My other sister adores musical theater and has been performing for as long as I can remember. And My mother, too, photographs nearly everything around her.
My family is the whole reason I’ve been able to express myself, follow my dreams and celebrate the things I love. I started selling my prints at conventions thanks to my oldest sister. So, if you ever see this, thank you for pushing me.
Art is about more than just showing something nice, but about showing something real. That may seem strange when you realize that I do art about Spiderman or vampires, and as my aunt puts it “pretty boys”, or other fantasy things, but real is more than just this reality we're in, it's about the feelings and experiences we go through.
That's the reality I like to capture. The joy, the sadness, the lights, and the shadows. It's contained within all of us to various degrees, and those feelings and experiences deeply influence how we interact with art.
But to be even more direct, the reality I like to capture is the one that has made me feel the happiest in my life. I love the community surrounding what I create. I love the smile on people’s faces when they see their bias, or a fandom they adore.
Interests
KPOP
Although I discovered k-pop as a teenager, with BIGBANG, SHINee, and 2NE1, later, I got into Stray Kids and BTS, as well as others. But, Stray Kids will always hold the most room in my heart.
NATURE
Seems a little weird to include this in this section, but I do, in fact, touch grass. I even enjoy doing it.
ANIME
But, I find myself turning into a bit of an anime critic the older I get. I love something with a soul of art and passion. Studio Ghibli is a favorite of mine, as well as anything with a beautifully told story, and unique art style.
COSPLAY
I love cosplaying with a passion. I have dressed up as a few characters over the years, and honestly I wish I had more time to do it. I really love the community surrounding it, and the creativity it takes.
